Shutterspeed Network - The Good Jungle
Shutterspeed Network
The Good Jungle | Woodland Hills, CA
Shutterspeed Network Events Co, Los Angeles, CA
This past Saturday, I attended my first network photography event! When I tell you.. this venue was to die for… I shit you not, I was tripping’ balls at how beautiful this spot was. I was thoroughly disgusted. And when I use insulting terminology, it’s beyond complimenting. It’s just that good.
My favorite spot was the tattoo/art studio in the backyard and I’m definitely going to have to steal this idea!! It’s perfect for being comfortably immersed in nature for full creative capacity. I felt so grounded and at peace; just for that short amount of time, I was able to channel some of that divine creative energy & capture the environment, as well as, the group of models who attended Shutterspeed’s network marketing event.
Each of these captures represents my attempt to harmonize the energy of the venue space and each model’s energy. The exchange between myself and each model was all unique. I received the ability to adapt to each frequency and match the subject with the most appropriate scene.
This sounds a little out there, or confusing, perhaps, for some. It’s just my process. It’s the way I perceive photography. It’s more than just a photo of a pretty person and a nice background. It’s the fact that our environment reflects us as individuals. There is light and there are shadows. Both, together, make a perfect combination. The best of both worlds.
Speaking of lights and shadows, the Lord graced us with some beautiful ass weather that afternoon. The clouds were just clearing from overcast and I was blessed to be able to flow freely with my love for natural light.
So, what was the lesson you ask? I was so excited I forgot my tripod, hehe. Also, if I would have slowed down just a tiny bit more, I could have shot way more sharper images. I have been retraining myself to slow down my shooting process and take that extra time to adjust my manual settings according to the lighting to save time in post production. I’m grateful for the revelations and realizations to grow and learn, as well as, to teach. I am showing more gratitude to my photography equipment and the technique. I am fully present and surrendered to the process.
Excited for more events before this amazing year comes to a close. And super excited for spooky season.
