Mood of the Month - January 2020 'ALIGNMENT'
welcomeeeeeee Friendssssssss to January’s Mood of the Month!
I know, I know, what you’re gonna say…
“uhh… Tai’Leah…. you know it’s about to be February, right?”
I know. I have been off balance when it comes to this concept’s initial prediction timing of “Monthly” Moods. but that is why this month’s mood is so relevant & important!!! drum roll pleaaaaseeee…
“Alignment”; a noun. defined as, the proper adjusting of components for coordinated functioning.
I just love how that sounds. this month has been all about getting into Alignment with our Highest Versions! I’m so grateful for the time that was spent focusing on Self-Nurturing & Connecting with my Higher Self & the Consciousness of my Business through weekly Yoga, Meditation & Journal Reflection. I even added in a Hike every week with my cousin to really emphasize on the physical activity & connection to my physical body. currently I’m feeling Spirit guiding me towards adding Running to my fitness routine; which I am still heaaaaavily resistant towards. running…… that just doesn’t sound fun to me, whatsoever. but, we’re completely detaching from any and all forms of resistant thought. therefore, i am continuing to build up my physical agility and stamina to eventually get out there & start running soon. if anyone has any advice or able to offer any help when it comes to running, feel free to help a sista out. although, I’m sure the best advice is to just get up & do it without really spending too much time thinking about it.
along with changes to my fitness lifestyle i also have been placing more intentions with my Nutrition. looking into Ayurvedic knowledge and learning about how food affects how the mind-body functions & causes imbalances in our energetic systems. this is definitely an extensive process, reading about the different ways we choose to nourish ourselves & aligning with which method is perfect for me. so far, I’ve been eating more vegetarian and vegan meals so that I know I’m consuming more plants & natural foods + ingredients. I believe if I had to define it, I would be a Flexitarian. i still eat meat on occasion; I just make sure my portions are smaller & meals that include meat are eaten much less frequently. I also have been shopping for ethically sourced groceries & continuing to do my research on possibilities for humane animal farming methods. overall, just going within, studying & reflecting on how we can continue to Evolve and find out a way to do that efficiently & in the most healthy way possible.
throughout this season of Alignment, I have learned to be Patient with my Self, as well as, others, of course. Because Growth & Enlightenment don’t just come overnight. there are ways to make it easier for ourselves to operate at our Highest Vibration; our most Balanced & Open Hearted state. all it takes is a little Discipline.
it’s okay if we get off Balance for a minute. we’re Human. we’re never going to be Perfect. have fun with your Self & practice trying new things that are gonna kinda put you outside of your Comfort Zone. why not? it’s freakin’ 2020. just the sound of that alone makes us feel like we gotta do something BIG. why not do that with your Self every single day, & wake up knowing you can try to do one little thing every day that will ultimately change your Life & change the way you think + operate in the World; one thing that can increase your Awareness, attract more Beauty into your Life, & Raise your overall Happiness and Satisfaction. why not finally, change your entire Life this year and commit to Aligning with your Highest Self every single day through one practice, or two, or three, or all of the above!
every baby step is a win. every little practice is changing you from withIn. give your Self all the credit for even considering changing your Lifestyle. it’s so hard to get out of the regular routine & add in something that might lead you to spending more time or money on something like a yoga class, a journal, a book, or some self-care goodies. I challenge you to change the way you perceive that class, that journal, that book, and that candle & that lotion. see those things as tools to give you the motivation, the confidence & the courage to take care of your self Wholistically. Mind, Body, + Spirit.
