Daily Practices to Inspire Art & Creativity

Great morning fam! How have ya’ll been? I trust you’re all well. Making the most of your time here on Earth. I’m not sure if any of you feel intimidated, insecure, uninspired and/or unmotivated towards your Creativity. Some folks think we have to be artists to make art & that’s the furthest from the truth. Art & Creativity is so broad and it’s whatever we decide we make it to be. Do you practice your creativity? It’s something that needs to be nurtured — The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron is a beautiful tool to use if you want to reawaken, reignite or resurrect the Artist within. All it takes is a few gentle practices. I’ve prepared a weekly outline of 7 Daily Practices we can participate in that will inspire our Art & Creativity.. are you ready?

Sunday:

Sundays are days for Self Care. Switch Up or Go all into your Self Care Routine this day. What’s the most ideal way you’d like to journey through our plans? How can we make ourselves feel the most luxurious we’ve ever felt from where we are today? Do your best to align with this vision in the highest vibrational way possible and revel in the energy of Opulence.

Monday:

Mondays are usually days where we get stuff done! Conjure your creativity by going all out with your Fashion today. Wear your favorite underwear, your favorite socks and your favorite shoes. Sometimes the way we look can 100% inspire us to either be more creative and/or productive. Don’t forget those accessories you always forget to wear. Slay and Be Slayed by Art!

Tuesday:

I hope the last two days have ignited a little but of inspiration already! If so, we know we’re on the right track. This day I want you to mimic what you did on Sunday with your self care routine, and focus on your morning and your nighttime routines. Weekends allow us to go all out and take all the time we need to recharge and cleanse. This day, our routine is going to be a little more compact and efficient. Since most of us will probably have work or plans on the weekdays, this is a practice that will help us feel just as inspired as we did on Sunday while handling our business and help us to create an anchor and a foundation for our entire day. Add in Monday’s practice for some extra umph! The repetition and pattern of artistic expression will create the momentum we need to finish the week strong!

Wednesday:

I know you were probably guessing if Fashion is a way to express ourselves, Makeup and Beauty Routines is another way we can be artistic in our ordinary every day! Experiment with a different color, switch up the look or splurge on your skincare regimen and go barefaced. Let your Intuition lead you! If you’re not a makeup wearer — you can always up the ante with a new or improved skincare regimen or be playful with jewelry or accessories in your fashion look for this day. Just make sure there is enough change and experimentation in your practice so that you are able to witness any changes in your mood or nervous system depending on what you’re wearing and/or expressing.

Thursday:

Do you usually go to same exact route to work every single time? Maybe let’s try to switch it up this day. You can take one or two alternative streets or routes; try a different mode of transportation and even taking a break at the park and having a picnic lunch. Try to incorporate some Spontaneity during your day whether that’s a little bit or a lot. Sometimes, leaning into what’s uncomfortable is the most healing for us individually.

Friday:

It’s Friday!! You know what that means.. It’s the weekend! Why don’t we splurge and find something really good to eat this day? Make it a treat and act like you’re taking your inner child out for a celebration after exercising your Creativity all week. Hasn’t this been fun? It’s also so practical. Come home and have a “sleepover” or create a playlist for your “house party” and just vibe. These practices are just small slight shifts in order to encourage the energy we wanna see throughout our lives. A higher vibration is just a small act away!

Saturday:

Saturday’s can be used to not only prepare for the week ahead but to continue our enjoyment of the weekend. Balance both of these tasks and create a new vision for the upcoming week. There has been so much creative flow throughout your week so far, what’s something new you’d like to see or do? Take the net part of your day and take your inner adult out for a date. Give yourself space and time to be curious again, be inspired — even if this is a short walk from the car to the grocery store, you can choose to take lighter shorter steps to enjoy the present moment a little more. By this day you should now have realized that Creativity is what we make it. Scenarios can be as little or as much expressive as we desire it to be. How creative have we or do we want to be? And what are some of your favorite ways to create, express and inspire yourself?

I pray these Daily Practices help remind you how specially creative and created you are! If you’re in agreement, that we’re made by the most divine creator, then that ability to divinely create also lives within you. Which one of these were your favorite? And which one gets you the most excited to start first?

I’m wishing you nothing but the best finds. discoveries and moments to cherish in your reality — take great care beloveds!
