My Top 10 Energy Boosters
Howdy folks! What’s happenin? I’m here to bring you some of my favorite ways to receive a lil energy boost, either throughout the day or an entire day of self care in the middle of the week. It’s so imperative for us to receive some of the most amazing gifts this Universe has to offer & that’s really the most simple, yet luxurious things. This season these things have really been the most amazing healing tools in my journey. I’m sure these may or may not be accessible to every one — yet I know these tools are more often used than not. Let’s splurge and have the most amazing time this summer soaking up all these healing practices for our Holistic Health; Mind, Body, Spirit/Soul.
10 min of Sunshine: Now, I know we all can’t say we have our fair share of sunshine. But, we all can do our best to be as present as we can and appreciative when the sun is out. That vitamin D be the best thing!! And at least 10 min, shoot at least 5! is better than no time at all. Appreciation is the Highest Vibration and anytime we get Mother Nature in the mix, you know it’s gon’ be a good time :) Long Live & Big Love to Mama Earth!!
Raw Juices: Whew, I don’t know about ya’ll… but something about a fresh juice makes me wanna turn up. Soooo goood!! And they’re mostly accessible. That wealth goes straight to your gut and makes everything seem all right again. Especially a ginger shot!! It’s hard not to be a fan of ginger because it’s beyonddd good for you; but If you’re not too much of a fan, I completely understand. Just skip to the next number, but don’t forget about this number when you need some new ideas!
Whole Foods & Vegetables: Stocking up on some fresh fruits and vegetables are going to always be the go to move for more energy. All our bodies are going to run at different rhythms, but it is a well known truth that more whole foods and veggies are amazing for our diets. Overall, cooking at home is proven to be a healthier diet regardless of preference in nutrition. Taking the extra time to nurture our bodies is aiding in our wellness and lifestyle in general. Your future self will thank you for any love you’re putting in, in order to increase our wellbeing.
Sound Frequencies: Anytime I’m feeling heavy energetically, the quickest way I know to get some relief is to turn on some healing frequencies. Now, I’m a Spotify user… so I don’t know what Apple Music’s selection is like but I can tell you from experience, Spotify has an amazing selection of free sound frequencies for almost any occasion. If you’re a fan of YouTube, I highly recommend just typing a search for any issue you’re currently experiencing and add “sound healing” or “sound frequency” at the end for some major come ups. These healings are best felt over time, so the more you play them and relax while the healing takes place, the faster you’ll be able to tell your body enjoying the experience & begging for more!
Yoga Poses and/or Stretching: Another practice that will leave your body begging for more is Stretching and Practicing Yoga! I never thought I’d enjoy adding this practice into my daily routine, but I literally don’t feel the same after spending too much time away from my mat; there are certain revelations I get and certain blockages that I just can’t remove without using my body as a tool. This is the best way for me to get energy, just by releasing any excess stagnancy I may be unconsciously holding onto. You never know how stiff you really are until you get to unstiffening LMAO. Surprisingly even after all the stretching, my body loves to get into a quick workout right after getting all the knots out.
Quick Walk/Run/Hike: I remember never really enjoying running. Even participating in sports as a kid, I always hated the running part. My lungs, always on fire and heart always hurting. Plus, it just didn’t sound that fun at all unless there’s a prize or a treasure involved. Nowadays, running has become a soft favorite of mine. I quietly build my endurance from time to time and there’s always this call to want to go back whenever I start to slack. This season I’m finally ready to make friends with running. It always gives me the best boost of energy I need. And when I’m on my cycle, sometimes my body still craves movement, so a short walk is always a great alternative. Hiking is my ultimate favorite activity, and if the trail is quick, no more than an hour, it’s the best energy booster and actually keeps me going all day. Unless the weather is too hot, then I feel drained. Make sure you always check in with your body to make sure when’s the best time to stop your workout, if you go too hard, you’ll be burned out for the rest of the day. If you don’t go hard enough, you’ll fail to reach the peak of your endorphin boost.
20 min Nap: Sleeping is my other favorite activity next to hiking, as well as next to eating. I’ve recently discovered that I could be oversleeping at times and causing my body to be more fatigued by laying in the bed longer. I’ve always had a struggle with feeling tired regardless of how early I go to bed. But when I learned that according to my astrological chart, my energy is naturally more heavy and slow moving, it helped me shift certain habits that allow my energy to feel less dense and more
Spicy Foods & Ingredients: Similar to raw foods and juices, adding in spicy ingredients to your diet definitely helps with collective energy. Overall consuming more spicy foods is going to help us feel more agile and light footed. This is, however, counterproductive if you already feel energized and nimble. You may need more grounding techniques and practices if you feel like your energy is too intense and it’s hard for you to stay still. 30-45 min Weight Training: If you’re not a gym gurlie, guyie or themie, you’re probably wondering what keeps people in the gym for hours on end — and it’s not what you may think. Endorphins are your body’s feel good chemicals; that on top of progressive & isolated muscle growth is what gets people stuck. I’ve discovered that after about 30-45 min of straight exercise, especially weight training keeps my body going all day long. No more than 45 minutes to be exact. After this time, my muscles in particular start to warm up and get loose but also my energy starts declining immediately after a long heavy weight training session.
Fire Breathing Technique*: This last technique has a disclaimer because I only suggest to experienced folks of Breathwork. If you’re a newbie you may prefer to go to a guided group class, but if you’re prepared and up for the challenge I highly recommend a Fire Breathing Technique. Not only does this give me a boost of inspiration and energy, this helps remove any unconscious blockages that we may be experiencing in our chakras and other alternative deep energy centers. These techniques are shown and guided on platforms such as YouTube, where you can enjoy and intimate moment of healing with yourself if you feel you’re in need. Be aware — these techniques may cause high sensitivity of a wide range of emotions, be very patient and gentle with yourself throughout this type of practice!
